SSD-POL-C49                       Cakes as Critters - Frog

6 1/4” x 8 1/8” - 87 stitches w by 114 stitches h

This counted cross-stitch design
is of a cake made to look like a frog at rest,
protruding eyes on top, tongue sticking out, on its belly,
and feet sticking out in front and at the sides.
It is about to be eaten as is evident
by the presence of a fork and knife which are ready for use,
and the thoughts (including its ribbit)
created by the design of the cake
as the dessert is about to be served are shown.

An actual cake can be made using one 8” round layer
cut in half vertically, with the pieces placed on the cut
and the bottoms of the layer iced together.
Then all the features may be added with icing.

All whole stitches are used.

Materials needed:
Antique White Jobelan 28 count (429-101)
May also use Aida 14 count (357-101) OR
Country French Soft Touch Aida 14 count (367-101)
from Wichelt Imports.
(The Jobelan evenweave and
the Country French Soft Touch Aida are wonderfully soft.)
