Model stitched by Melissa LeGault.
This is a cross-stitch design of snow falling on a
lamp post and lantern top decorated with a large
bow in white on a dark blue background. The
image is surrounded by a border of squares in
different designs (snowflakes) reminiscent of a
winter greeting card. All whole stitches are used.
Materials used for model:
14 count DMC #792 – Very Dark Cornflower Blue
Aida by DMC.
DMC 6 strand embroidery floss.
The model is stitched on 14 count Aida, to show
how easy it is to stitch, but linen or evenweave
fabric may be used.
The white stitches are striking on the navy fabric.
However, preferred colors or hand dyed fabrics
may be used.
